My beautiful client Kerry Ellis, a very sought after and experienced travel agent, and the founder of Kerry Ellis Travel wrote about her experience of working with me. I thought it was important to share it, because she really understood that you can have an incredible service to offer (which she does) but unless you increase your visibility and let the world know who you are (and more importantly what makes you unique to work with), no one will know you, your brand or your business.
So here are Kerry's words...
Why I Chose Maira?
I met Maira at a networking event with Network She in Chester. Maira immediately struck me as warm and friendly. I believe Maira is passionate about making women feel confident enough to be visible in their businesses. Her warm demeanour is what attracted me to her. I love the fact that Maira is not only a talented photographer but also an expert in personal branding. Maira also told me a story of how she felt uncomfortable being photographed when she was younger, and this really resonated with me and led me to booking her over other photographers I had met.
What is it like working with Maira?
We arranged an online meeting to discuss what I wanted from a branding photography session. Maira explained the options well and I was impressed with the number of extras you receive that help you utilise the photos, not just the photographs themselves. Maira was clear with her pricing options, and I feel I got good value for money.
Maira listened well to what I wanted in terms of colours, tone and the feeling I wanted people to have when looking at the photos. I was in touch with Maira on and off for several weeks between booking her services and the photo shoot. She always made me feel welcome and answered my questions in a friendly and open way.
My photoshoot involved two locations, plus my two children plus my dog. It was complicated, but Maira took it all in her stride. She put my children at ease immediately as well as myself. I really feel her warmth and quiet competence made us all feel much more relaxed.
I simply hate having my photo taken usually, but during a long shoot with Maira I did not feel awkward at all. This, to me, is simply witchcraft!
Maira delivered the photos before the agreed deadline and to a very high standard. They were so much better than I had envisaged in my head. Maira is a great champion for my business, and I feel that she is really 'cheering me on' as well as offering her branding and photography expertise.
What changed in my business after working with Maira?
I feel much more confident about publicising my website now that Maira’s photos feature. Website traffic has quadrupled since I added Maira’s photos. I have also felt much more confident ‘showing up’ on social media and my Instagram following has multiplied by 5 since using her photos.
Would I recommend working with Maira?
I will certainly use Maira’s photography services again in the future (although I have enough photos to last me for ages!) and would recommend her to anyone who wants a quality and friendly brand photography experience.
